Property Damage Due to Water.

This week has been one that we call “Water” week. A two-story town house toilet over flowed and seeped through the dry wall and sheet rock from the second floor down to the first floor on a commercial property. An apartment dishwasher clogged. A pipe under the sink busted. When this happens with commercial properties, many do not know how to respond. If it is a commercial property, we must have authorization from the property management company to start remediation services. The tenant may or may not have coverage for their personal belongings. Commercial property insurance claims are a two-client process, including multiple people and contacts.
